I had one of these, I took it out. I am pretty sure I ended up throwing it away. If you hid the port for the special key it would confuse a thief for ever.

WHY DID YOU TAKE IT OUT?
IS IT AS GOOD AS THEY SAY IT IS OR IS IT ALL HYPE?

 

I didn't like to use it because I found it annoying. Its a good system, it hooks into your ignition wire. There is a special one of a kind key that you have to plug in that will complete the ignition circuit. The car will not start with out it. If you hid where the key goes, a thief will not be driving your car away. Only way then is a tow truck.

 

this one is actually intergrated to the whole driver side interior harness. So the only way to bypass is replacing the whole harness which takes about 2 hours to do. and i doubt any theif is gonna sit there doing that for 2 hours lol

It will work on any car, you just would have to re wire it to your car. What he is selling is already built into the eg harness.

 

nice!! are they easy to install? or do you need professionals?

 

dont really need a professional.....not too hard just time consuming because with the space you have its a little tight but if you know how to take out a harness it will take about maybe a little over an hour to do
