95 Accord acts flooded when cold starting.
Non V-tech. Runs great when warm. Cranks over but seems like it only hits on 1 or 2 cylinders. When it finally fires up it runs like it is flooded till it cleans out and then it runs great!!! Refires warm with no problem. Have changed plugs, plug wires, Dist cap and rotor, and ECM. I now am thinking Crank sensor or coil. Car has over 200,000 miles. Could a weak alternator cause this???? I have no idea where to find or how to remove the crank sensor for testing. Coils either work or they don't......right???
Please help, this is my daughters car she has at college and she needs it.
Thanks, 510rider.

Most of the time, for crank sensor testing, you can have the car running, at operating temp and take a soft hammer near the crank sensor and LIGHTLY tap the block and it will retard the timing and you should hear it in the engine. If it does that then it is working. That is the quick test. And please use a soft hammer, or you will have a nice hole in the block quite quickly.
And something else you can look at, seems how you mention it seems like it is flooded. If it tries to start but wont next time hold your foot all the way down on the gas pedal, literally all the way. That chokes out the fuel pressure regulator. This is in case the regulator is stuck all the way open. Now if it does start immediately take your foot off the gas, as revving a car when it immediately start is terrible for the life of the engine. Just a thought. It should start pretty quick if that is the issue.
