K SPORT suspension ?
well i searched to the best i can and i really cant find much dedicated on ksport. i was looking at the skunk2 pros but i heard for the price its better to go with ksport. the budget is around 750 and i want something that will be able to go pretty low.

stay away from ksport. they are built crappy and will blow out fast. im not sure how low pics go but ground control/koni set up will go pretty low. koni makes some of the best struts in the business. can't beat that.

does anyone have any proof of the 'ksport are built crappy' claim?
I have their new eg/dc model on my DA and I am pretty low and I have absolutely no issues with them. But if the claims are true enlighten me.

about 6 months or so... with a really low stance and a lot of hard driving... I have them set on the stiffest setting and the pirches are at their highest setting and the lower mounting sections are about an inch from their lowest point
i give them till the end of the warranty period, but the thing is if you are just driving this car on the street you probably wont notice that the strut is blown because they run shuch high spring rates, but you will pull the coilover apart and the shock rod will just fall, seen it myself

What makes PIC build quality better? Are they not made in the same facility as the rest of the cheap coilovers? IMHO, all these one year warranty coilovers are all the same. Ever wonder why they all have the same warrant?
You dont want the spring perch all the way screwed up. Lower it a little bit, and raise up the car a little but with the lower mount. Then the piston is conceivably hitting the top all the time when its raised all the way up. Im not 100% on this but it seems possible.
listen - you get what you pay for.
k-sport = commodity taiwanese coilover, like the 20 other brands out there with the same features for the same type of low price.
if you get good components they will last longer and you will handle better, ie Koni dampers with matched GC/Eibach coilover sleeves.
if you don't care about rolling the dice with longevity, consistency, quality control or HANDLING get the cheap stuff. maybe you'll luck out and it'll work out great. atleast your car will be low.

I have had Ksports on my db2 for just shy of 2 years with about 30 track and autocross days and haven't had any issues with them. I bought them for about $600 for a cheap suspension upgrade, but haven't felt the need to change them yet.
What I do not understand is why so many people in the USA talk so bad about KSport.
Here in Germany it turns out as really good shocks and brakes. It is very successfull in Germany, England, Austria and Switzerland. Specially in Switzerland and England it is used in many, many import race cars without any problems.

How is he not gonna notice a blown shock cause of stiff spring rates? The car would be bouncy if the shocks blew. I think it would be pretty noticable. Don't say cause of the stiff spring rates it won't be bouncy. It is exactly that, a spring. The shock controls the spring.

LOL, no.
There is sooo much mis-information in this thread it's unbelievable!
Plan and simple... Anyone who hasn't seen or used the NEW Ksport kontrol pro's is missing out! The new stuff is phenomenal.
For the money they can not be beat! Not to mention there customer service and warranty is top notch!
Ksport has 3 shock dyno's and does testing on their coilovers regularly. Each RR and Circuit Pro coilover includes the dyno results.
Also BC Does not make them for ksport and PIC is NOT made in the US.
Here's a quick google search of PIC's address, click street view and check out there sweet facility!

Its true the leaking rate was high a few years ago, but since our shock redesign in late 2008 we have less than .25% leakage rate, i would say honestly 2-3 of the new shocks have leaked to this day, and those could have been very well due to customer damage, but we didnt question it.
You probably have one of the newer designed kits.
Care to let us know which rates you feel are too high? we get more comments about being too soft on most models than too stiff.
Honestly its because ksport was released in the US a few years before europe, and most redesigns and supplier changes were done before selling in europe.
LOL, no.
