Default Here we go again!!

We rebuilt this engine 20,000 miles ago... basically just put a re-ring kit in, the pistons were in good shape so we cleaned them up and re-used them... now i have a wrist pin knock.. i havent took it back apart yet to know if its knocking on the rod side or the piston side.. in order to know which to replace... and its my daily driver, does anyone know which usually usually wears?..does it press through the piston and float on the rod? or the other way around.. i dont remember from when we had it apart... Thanks!

did you have the engine bored at all? did you check your piston to wall clearance when you put everything back together? it could be piston slap...if im not mistaken the stock pisons/rods have press in wrist pins right?

I didnt have it bored.. this sound is like a rod bearing, but is worse when cold, the after it warms up its not near as bad, which is the opposite of a rode bearing. it can only be a couple things...

Does anyone know which is more likely to fail, the rod or the piston?.. I havent taken the car apart, its my driver, i am trying to get a heads up, so i can orde the parts.. if the piston surface floats, then it is more likely to fail.. if the rod floats, likewise... does anyone know?
