Hello ITR people,

Does anyone has a pic of their ITR interior dome light with the clear plastic cover removed, or a pic of the dome light spot with the entire light assembly removed?

My GSR is at the body shop getting the roof cut off and having a 1997 ITR roof installed. My GSR dome light assembly mounted with two 8mm nuts, but when looking at the new roof I got from Acura, there are no mounting posts, and only one nut welded on to the roof. I am wondering if the dome light mounts with only one small bolt, or if there is another part that goes between the roof itself and the dome light assembly.

Any pics or info would be super appreciated!

I suspect an RS would have the same mount that you seek. However, the expertise should reside here, especially with all of the stripped interiors and rebuild threads.

 

so on my 99 gsR there are two interior lights for the inside... one right next to the rear view mirror and the standard one that is toward the back ( or the middle of the roof).

the one near the rear view mirror is a luxury item and was taken out on the type R integras. lol my 00 R doesnt have the luxury light by the rear view mirror, but has the main one that is activated by the opening of the doors (towards the middle of teh roof)

with that said my guess would be a 97 R roof = no luxury light mount, and only the main interior light, does that make sense?

 

yes. the map light goes away completely. I am interested in how the dome (main) light at the center of the roof is mounted.
