03 honda parking lights don't come on
Hey guys as title states my front and rear marker lights or parking lights don't come on. Yes I checked the fuse and yes I replaced it but the funny thing is that it keeps burning. My horn also doen't work either. I think I have a short somewhere and thats where you guys come in. Well I can follow a wireing diagram but can't find one on here. Can any one help?. Also I added jdm style sidemarkers. I learned the hardway and I did not use wire loom so I caused a short because the loom grounded out to my body. I have since fixed the wire issue but now the marker light don't come on at all any input or leading me to a honda factory manual would be nice. I have a 03 honda civic lx 2dr non vtec.....rock on...thanks
I'm not sure what you're wanting anyone to say. It's obviously still grounding out somewhere, or it's wired incorrectly.
As for a manual, you'll need to purchase one. I lucked out and got one from an elderly couple on craigslist for $20, but they're available elsewhere.
Like here, for example.

if it were me, and the problem came after i hooked the lights up, or had a problem with them i would disconnect them and see if the problem is still there.
Pretty much what I did. I put everything back to how it was took the lights off. Still the same problem. I know that Im getting a ground somewhere the thing is I don't even know where to start. I thought that maybe someone on here had a wiring diagram.

The service manual is on order and it should come in a week I hope. I did some work on my honda this morning an resaudered all wires that I spliced into for the jdm lights to work. I but everything back to original. Now I found out that my horn doesn't work but the fuse is good. so I need to check the problem and fix the horn first. Does anyone have any throuble shooting guide to horn not working.
Check the horn relay in your under-hood fuse box. Replace it with a good one and test the horn again.
If that doesn't work, remove the front bumper cover, disconnect the horn and put 12 volts to it. (12v to horn, ground the bracket)
If the horn still doesn't work, replace it with a new one.
It could also be the horn switch or the cable reel, too.

Where is horn switch?
Where is cable reel?
Thanks for the help
I checked the relay in the underhood fuse box and is good.
Is there another fuse relay under the steering wheel?

Tackle this project after you've received your manual. (if it's actually necessary)
Is this all you did? You didn't check anything else? (like the horn, for instance.)
Didn't you already check the fuse?
Now I found out that my horn doesn't work but the fuse is good.

*I scribbled this together. It's not exactly what the plug looks like, but it should suffice.
Remove the steering column covers.
Unplug the wire harness (5-pin) connector from the back of the cable reel.
Using a jumper wire, connect number 2 to a body ground.

You said the relay and the fuse are good, so the horn should honk when you do this. If it doesn't - the fuse, relay, or horn are bad. (unless it's an open wire)
Plug the harness connector back in, then remove the horn switch connector. (it's the 1-pin connector)
Jump it with the ground wire.
If the horn works, plug it back in and call it a day.
If it doesn't work, that's where the fun begins and you'll need your manual to replace the cable reel.
Ok
I pretty much took my horn and hooked it up to the battery direct and it honked. So I now know that my horn works.
I was wondering shouldn't my horn wire have 12volts when I honk the horn at the steering wheel? Well I checked and It doesn't have power at this wire.
I have a test light and a multimeter and have some knowledge on how to use.

I Did the above and no power at this pin. Is there to chase the power to the next fuse block? I noticed that theres another fuse box under the dash.

I did check the fuse box in the engine bay and that one is fine. Im wondering if there is another horn fuse or some other relay connecting these wires together.

I really appreciate the help. I have a autozone repair manual and am trying to find the color wire for the horn. I need to trace it to the underdash fuse box to see why im not getting power.

Wait .. what? I never mentioned the need to use a DMM or a test light. You only needed to ground the wire.
Anyhow ..
(looking at the diagram on page 22-161)
The color of the wire running from the battery, through the relay and to the horn; is Blue/Red.
The color of the wire running from the battery, through the relay, to the cable reel and finally to the horn switch; is Orange.
Hope that helps. If this has been confusing, the manual will makes sense of it and trying to describe the cable reel.. ahaha.. right. You'll see what I mean.
