ok my brother blew his head about a week ago im trying to fix it the mechanic i called for the job said the valves were bent because when the "UP" on the cam was facing up 4 valves were sticking out so i took the head to a machine shop the guy did the work w.e when i came back the the same damn valves were sticking out but! he says thats how its suppose to be so does anyone know....???

ARE THE VALVES SUPPOSE TO BE ALL FLAT WHEN THE "UP" IS POINTING UP OR DO FOUR VALVES STICK OUT AT THAT POINT?

 

When the Up is pointing up the #1 cylinder should have all 4 valves closed. IIRC, Cylinder 3 will have valves that are open though. and or 2 could be slightly open. I'm going off memory from when I removed my head. I'm also looking at the lobes of the camshaft. I don't have a complete head to look at to confirm for sure.

 

o ok yea when its pointing up the first four are all closed and the last four are all closed but the two in the middle have two of each set a little up

so the bottom two of the second cylinder is up and top two of third cylinder is up

 

 

we keep jumping lets just stick to this one bro i was just a bit rushy to find out the problem so i posted it in like 3 places bro lol
