I'm sure if you check out the skunk2 website or search around here, you'll easilly find the answers you're looking for.

All cams can benefit from 'degreeing'. Some cams need it if your piston to valve clearance is tight so the valve doesn't smack the piston.

I've notice some people said to "clay the motor", how do you know whether your cams need claying or degreeing?

all cams need degreein.. ALL.. if you look at a Skunk2 pro 2 documentation it says to set them to intake: 31* BTDC opening and closing 46* ATDC opening is at .040 with 0 lash. all cams have that kind of info, people just open the package and slap the cams and talk about you loose man hood points for reading the manual. I clay the motor only to figure out how much piston to head clearance, Valve to piston i do with a micrometer on top of the valve and push it down to figure out how much clearance. you do this when you have dished pistons to make sure valves don't hit.

You "clay the motor" to determine your piston to valve clearance at various cam gear settings so you'll know what the safe range is to adjust them, when tuning on the dyno. Degreeing is a great thing to do if you don't know if your block has been decked or your head has been milled or you just want to install them at their indicated centerlines and LEAVE THEM. If you plan on tuning the cam gears for best power on the dyno, degreeing is somewhat pointless assuming you've already checked your P2v clearance and V2V clearance before hand.
