builting a k20 motor
i want to know if any one out there can give me any ideal how to built a k20 motor. i want to use a k24 block witha k20 head. let me know what you recommand?
i read alot in the past 2 days. from what ive found. those heads will only fit on a k24a4 or a1 head?
i see that you sell some nice built motors. if all my gsr turbo stuff sells in good time i just might be getn one.

Is there a specific reason you want a K24 block? From the extensive research i've done on the K20a's (k20a -rsx type R, k20a2 -rsx type S, k20a3- civic si), the bottom ends ends are capable of handling 300hp reliably. I've got a good piece of literature on K-series motors and in one section they dynoed their road racing track car, and they put down & documented 246whp and 168 ft-lbs with a K20a2. What was impressive was that it had a stock bottom end fitted with all the other goodies (Toda cam's & valve train, ported head, race header, cataback, ITR intake mani, ITR throttle body, CAI, and hondata K-pro tune). My opinion- not bad at all
K20/K24 hybrid: If you've got the cash, the time, and the need go for it. The combination essentially is a TSX, all said and done. The set-up is great for forced induction--> an extra 0.4 L of displacement / high flowing head / and lower static compression = great potential.
Personally i'm sticking with the K20a2 power plant. I'm goin for a bullet proof NA road race / daily monster. I can just hear that beautiful K @ 9,200 rpm just rippin. I cant effin wait

from what ive been reading the k24 (if decided to punch it out to a 2.6L) and a real vtec head with some tsx pistons or ever higher compresion piston nets quite a bit of power. other then power...
i just want to make alot of noise.

It would be a mean set-up for sure, good luck.
-Nikos: i agree 300whp Naturally Aspirated out of a 2.0L takes quite a bit of development work. (assuming you were referring to NA, right?)
