Default Who was selling taillight gaskets?

A few months ago someone was selling taillight gaskets, anyone know who it was? I want to do a bit of maintenance on my caR.

Water getting inside the lenses huh? I do remember someone selling them years ago, not months. Otherwise I would have jumped on it myself. I mean if you don't want to dish out $40 per side, you can make them yourself from 6mm thick craft foam (if you can find a large enough size).

Yeah, a little water in the trunk as well, that mildew smell drives me nuts. A couple months ago someone was selling some they made out of spare material. Once the snow clears up Ill head to Walmart and see what I can find.

Dave, I know Honda sells them. But why would I pay more for something that I can get for less?

You can get a pair for $60 shipped on eBay. But I'm going to my local craft store today and look to see what they have.

I pulled my tail lights, applied a small amount of RTV to the compression points on the gasket, and reinstalled. No leaks.

I have thought of going this route. I don't usually like to go with sealants because they tend to end up messy. Thanks though.

I used a tiny amount of RTV. There was no mess.

Couldn't find one in a similar thickness.

How do these hold up? Hold up better than OEM? The same?

I wouldn't use RTV. you may have a hard time getting the taillights off without damaging them.

Damn. I remember when I had my DC. I would've loved to know about these back then. Haha.

microban is great at killing mildew in carpet. spray the car down and pay $50 to a local steam extraction carpet cleaner and your interior will smell and look great.

It only smells like mildew after it rains. Otherwise it smells normal.

Gotcha.
When I still had my integra, it was really obvious that the water was coming from there. There was water in the taillight itself. Haha. And I def. felt the moisture buildup too.

Yeah, my previous integra had water that filled the tailight almost halfway. Thats why I want to do some research first.
