I have an 01 thats a 4cyl 5spd & it has a bad ecu. Can I use any 4cyl 5spd ecu from 98-02..?

 

That should work as long as it came from a 4cyl 5sp car. Also i have the one from my 99 that is 4 sale LMK if you cant find one local. I have the complete drive-train 4 sale also.

No you need a ULEV ECU. The regular ECU's are not equipped with the extra emissions capabilities.

IIRC the ECU part# that you are looking for is 37820-PAA-L23. Any OBD2 ULEV 2.3L 5spd ECU should work

 

Thanks for the help.Yes,my vin# calls for a L23 ecu.I have found a L22 & L20,they are from 5 speed cars but cant seem to find out if the motors were ULEV..? Are there any web-sites that can give info on part numbers?

 

Mine is a 99 F23a1 5sp PAA-L11 ECU. mine is LEV NOT U-LEV. Not sure if it will work for u.


I also have a PCF ECU.

 

it will work. the only problem u have is rechipping the ecu at a honda dealership because our cars come with transponders. being ULEV or not won't really be affected by the ecu.
