Icon6 Exhaust Decision

So, after owning the greddy evo exhaust and having the whole b pipe corrode and rust to the point of breaking completely its time for a new catback since im running no muffler right now, (Check my previous post for Reference.)

Im not happy with greddy i think the quality of that exhaust its just garbage, The actual muffler also burnt out completely on the inside (rattling and steel wool coming out) not going down this route again.

Im in the market for a catback right now but with so many choices is hard to pick one. Im looking at buddyclub spec II, looked at WS2, tanabe medallion touring, and a other few but cant decide. Im looking for something that's not going to break the bank, not be super loud sort of like the buddyclub i looked at and something that will perform superior to the oem or the greddy i have or had lol..I did a search and the threads on this topic are pretty old and wanted to see if maybe theres new products out there i've missed. Thanks

Nope, nothing really new. What was good in 2005 is still good today (if it is still being made).

FWIW, some Greddys were always pretty crappy. Most had a SS muffler, but a mild steel B-pipe.

Buddy Club Spec II -- how deaf do you want to be? That is the loudest exhaust made, period. Don't be that guy.

Otherwise, the better choices are Mugen, hytech, etc.

i wonder if those DNX pipes will hold untill i boost my car, then its on to a 3" thermal or apexi. Then i wont mind it being loud because it would be woth it.

my dnx pipe is great. i didnt really expect much because it was so cheap but i was presently surprised. it does make a reduction at the axle back to match up with the spoon axle back so i dont think it will bolt up to your greddy muffler if that was what you were thinking.

the dnx is made by dynomax i think. decent company for other exhausts outside of our hondas

would like to know what other mufflers would bolt up to these pipes. If the OEM ITR axel back would bolt up to this i think it'll be the way i go for a temporary fix till boost. And i refuse to give Greddy another try.

For a deep mellow sound that is very street friendly, I would go with Mugen twin loop.

For a bit louder I would go with Fujitsubo RM01A. I loved it when I had it.

Pretty sure the oem axle back would cause its the same size as the spoon n1 axle back...because you can use the spoon n1 on a stock itr b pipe

Does anyone have sound clips of the Hytech exhaust installed with the B18C5? I've been eyeballing the system for a while, and the gains are definitely there but it's borderline breaking the bank .

From what I can see, great price for the apparent quality though.

several things.

1. STOP YELLING

2. This section is for type are specific questions/comments/builds/rants/etc. Hit up the 88-91 civic/crx sub forum for best results, located Here

3. Any exhaust shop can build you a quality exhaust system and help you find and install a new catalytic converter. check the above mentioned thread and/or the market place or ebay for something that is bolt on and pre formed.

WS2 sounds ok and is fairly quiet. My friends got a tanabe medallion on his fit and it has a better tone than the WS2. I have a Spoon Street Style axle back on 2 1/2 inch fujitsubo b pipe and it sounds PERFECT! almost stock quiet but has a nice tone. I had the SAME problem with my GReddy EVO2 cat back on my LS integra. i will NEVER buy greddy again!
