Just like the title. One bad tint job. It was free from a shop I used to do paintless dent repair at and they needed a clean car that doesnt get driven alot for a demo/show car, so I said... Go ahead! This is what they came up with.

5% all the way around, and 35% on the front windshield. Also a 5% visor strip and double 5% on the sunroof. Yes its dark.















Oh yea, and its all high quality llumar film. None of that 99 dollar tint job **** that turns purple in a year.

Yea, its pretty stock besides a set of springs.

Also. I drive a mazdaspeed6 as my daily driver. This is my baby. It maybe see's sunlight once or twice a year.

 

if wou slammed it on some sw388's, it would look so tight blacked out. new mirrors too, but thats just me. any plans for the car? build, turbo, bolt-ons?

 

No big plans as of now. I am the second owner, picked it up from some 55 year old lady who was a lawyer and wanted to sell it because her kid couldnt see out of the back seat. I have owned it now for 8 years or so.

I do plan on taking the Tein springs out and completely reworking the suspension. I would like to get it handling like its on rails. I also have a comptech icebox intake I will eventually install. Possibly look into a good high end header and possibly swapping in some CTR cams. But that will probably be about it.

 

Damn those things are dark.

 

good luck with that tinted front windshield. hope you dont drive at night either. Its a major PITA to see

Not a fan of tint. its to ghetto, plus it hides the inside of the car. But Thats just my opinion. would look better without it.

 

I actually drove the car pretty regularly right after I had this done. Never a problem with seeing out of it. See a cop, drop the windows with the quickness.

 

Damn! I love tint & on the windshield. You get alot of privacy & no1 can see you. Looks dope!

 

I had 5% on my Integra back in the day... it got super annoying rolling down the windows everytime I saw a cop.

 

How is it ghetto?It also protects the insides of your car...I think in florida you can go down to 10 percent but it'll look good dumped on some black wheels

 

Its not ghetto lol... It protects your interior and keeps your car cool on the hot summer days.

Plus you drive an Si, you must be droppin' panties left and right from the 16 year old girls when your VTEC hits.

 

Exactly and it keeps lurking thieves from trying to peek through your windows at all your ****.

 

Having the windshield tinted is the best ever. Keeps heat off the dash and keeps the car nice and cool. Last car I had was done the same way w/ 35 on front and 5% strip at top. Thats the "correct" way to do it as cops will be looking to see if the top of the windshield is darker than the rest of the glass resulting in less obvious. Only thing is with the 5% on the sides it makes it pretty obvious. I had 15% all the way around.

 

On the flip side, thieves could just think you have something to hide (nice stereo, etc) if the tint is that dark and smash your window anyway.

It's not like they really need an excuse to break in.

Now you need black wheels and tint for the headlights, some nightrider ****.

 

A set of CTR headlights, and some nice black wheels would look killer.
The tint job looks really nice, and I don't even like tint!

Thanks everyone. I have been stopped and the cop never even questioned the front window. Plus, if they are running the old school tint "tester" that slides over the window, its virtually impossible for them to test it due to the front pillar. I know some cops now just have one they can point at the window and it gives them a reading.

Oh yea, license plats used to read UCNTCME. Cops loved that ****!
