Carbon Duck Bill EG Wing
I just picked up a flat black duckbill wing for my eg for 60 from some guy on craigslist. I noticed that some of the black was coming off and sure enough, its carbon fiber! the guy was shocked for some reason, even tho he said it came off of his car, and it was already peeling showing the carbon fiber...
anyways, we started picking at the paint and it would chip off, showing the carbon fiber still having clear coat and in good shape.
My question is, what is the SAFEST way to remove the paint without damaging the carbon fiber? I can re-clear is necessary, i have access to a bunch of grits of sand paper also.

I would just use a palm sander with a finer grit, maybe 600-800 and get all the paint off. Once you have all the paint off, step up to 1000 grit wet then do 1500 wet and take it to get cleared.
This is exactly the wing.
