Default JDM rear tail install

I got it in and wired but had to take the middle brake light off because its hitting the frame. Anybody had the same problems...I'm now thinking of shaving that metal part so I can put the other brake light in. Any other way?
Here's what it looks like now, by the way...

mine was close, but i didn't do any shaving. just hits the little plastic panel, but no big deal. is your center VTEC sticker white? it looks weird in that pic.

yeah, its white...The Civic logo has a gold'ish shade...not really faded, so it makes the Vtec logo stand out. Do you think it looks funny?

I think the guy might have sold you a usdm middle piece, and just slapped a vtec sticker on there... make sure the CIVIC isnt a sticker.

Dose anyone know where you can get the 88-89 jdm tails? Mostly all i see is the one with the outline around the lights. I would rather have the one's like on bergenholtz car.

Yeah, i was thinking that too...but my center piece had no logo so i cant add the vtec sticker anyway...plus I think I got it for a bargain...$70 for the set. Thanks on the tip...I thought about using a dremmel too but wanted to get other ideas.

i just took my jdm lights off my car so i can sell em..it's funny, i didn't need to dremel anything at all when i installed them. it was a tight fit, but i made it work. i also wired the harness to plug into my 89 plug. i put the 88-89 lights back on..man they're fugly if anyone knows someone looking for a set, mine are the real deal modified to fit 88-89 complete w/ real center piece.

Well good for you! No one asked for your opinion about the spoiler, the subject was about lights, stick to the subject.
