Not sure if this is where this post belongs, but I went over to the type r forum and didn't even bother because of the flames I saw on people asking questions.
My question is, Is the ITR replica 4-1 header as good quality and functionability as the OEM 4-1? I have searched for 2-3 days and cant find a definate answer. If the replica is as good, I will probably get one, just cant see spending $300 on an OEM header. If not than I will start looking for another header for the ITR motor getting ready to be dropped into my EG6. This is gonna be a DD, not a track/drag car, just want to bring the 96 Spec itr motor closer to the 98 spec.
Thanks for the opinions and help guys. and I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.

I currently am using the DC Sports 4-1 on my B16 which I believe is just a '98 spec knock off. I like it. The top end is a lot better.
However, big tube tri-y's are so cheap in the States, I dunno why you don't consider going that route.

I was hoping to stay with something that I can use oem heatsheilds on. I heard/read that the 96 spec header is 4-2-1 vs the 98 spec 4-1, combine that with 98+spec intake cam and ecu tuning I can bring the 96 up to 98 specs. I am not one for racing or poping my hood to show off engine, just wanted a little more getup and go when I need it. I run oem headers on all my cars and would like to be able to use heatsheilds as well.

That's the kinda info I am looking for, I know the specs are the same, but the torque range is considerably lower on the 98 spec, but like I said, This is gonna be an NA daily driver, so every penny that I save can go to something else on the car.
