I have an 06 RSX Type S and need help, my axle has bein makin some noise lately so im going to replace it, last time i took it off was to change my clutch and flywheel but i took it off with halfshaft n all, now i just want to switch out the axle but having trouble with the axle releasing off the half shaft on passengers side, anything will help, thanks.

hit on the axle hard with a mallet or piece of wood and sledge ...it will come apart

 

ive tryed this n nothing so im just waitting for more input from people who have dealt w/this b4, thanks though ur the first to share some wisdom to this subject.

 

Sounds like you need to get big lol. Get down there and show that bad boy whats up! Prolly just needs a little more force.

 

One of my friends was saying that some axles have a pin holdin on to the halfshaft, but i dont know anything about a pin

i think he just wants to remove the axle from the half shaft.? if that is the case all he needs to do is beat the crap out of it and it will give.

 

^ yea im jus tryn to get the axle of not the whole thing.

 

same sort of thing happend when i was helping my friend pull his tranny, we just pushed a pickle fork and wiggled it around a bit and it gave,

 

i beat the crap out of it til it gave n finaly did, thanks for the help sorry took so long to post up again
