Default Honda Pilot - radio won't work after battery change

The battery in my Honda Pilot died completely - to the point where it could not be jumped. After replacing the battery - they found that two fuses had blown. The issue is that the radio will not power on - I'm not even getting the 'code' request. The 'lighter' has power from it, so the repair man is telling me that since the 'lighter' is working then the radio is probably blown... should I still try changing the fuses? If so, which ones should I replace?

Thanks,

Radioless...

normally there are 2 power sources for the radio: accessory and battery.
Check all fuse boxes (underdash and engine bay) with a meter - if the fuse is okay should read voltage on both sides.

you could also try disconnecting the radio and plugging it back it. once in a blue moon this has worked for me. the radio might have some residual voltage thats letting it keep its memory and unplugging it will reset it. chances are you're gonna need to go back to the dealership to get the code once its turned back on tho.

I have the same problem with the radio of my Pilot (nothing on radio and lighter is fine) after I mistakenly connected the battery (positive to negative). I replaced the burnt 120A fuse and now the radio doesn't work. I checked the fuse box and radio and lighter is on the same fuse. I guess I have to replace the radio. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks.

Did you check *both* fuse locations? The constant feed should be in the under hood fuse box, while the accessory feed will be in the fuse box under the dash.

OK, I found the fuse, which is 20A RADIO under hood. I didn't find it before because dirt block letter R and made it look as "HADIO". The radio works after I changed the fuse with a 15A as I don't have a 20A. Thanks.
