je piston rings are really good, hastings is also good but ive been told by JE that they are the same as JE, they are just boxed in a hastings box. i love my hastings rings i would try to stay away from total seal, i dont have any personal experience with those rings but i havnt heard too many good things about them.

My mole inside of JE says that the JE turbo rings are purchased from Wiseco. I really have not figured out if they are off the shelf or special order.

I just ordered my rings from Rocket on the board here. Was trying to get the Hastings, but he couldnt get those for me. Ended up having to order JE rings for me. I believe they are one in the same. I remember someone saying they bought a set of JE's and the rings had Hastings stamped on them.
I hope not to have any seating problems.......I fuggin better not.

did you just buy the rings or did you get them with pistons?

Already had the pistons---I bought them w/o rings. From what I understand rings arent included when you buy JE's.

I've seen a lot of JE rings and NEVER have I seen Hastings stamped on them. Read my post above. I'm 100% sure they are made by Wiseco.

I stand corrected then......wait no I dont I just remember someone saying that--maybe it was just their piston and ring setup that they bought.
Anyways, I dont see a problem running the rings that are available from JE.

JE rings don't look anything like standard wiseco rings.. so they must be specially designed for JE then...

Dustin, you are probably right on that. That's kind of the confusing part. I would like to buy JE rings but not at JE prices. Someone has got to know the exact source info.

But I have seen specs in the Hastings catalog that look just like the JE specs.

I've never seen anything but a tiny mark on JE's turbo rings. I wish I new for sure that they were off the shelf Hastings or Wiseco or ?

Does JE offer different rings for turbo than the normal ones? Everytime i order pistons i just tell them the bore and desired cr. I have never asked about turbo specific rings.
