I've begun sanding my car which is white right now and I'm gonna paint it black but as I was looking at my vehicle I noticed the moldings on the doors and fenders, I'm ponderig on whether to or not to shave them off or should I keep the moldings. TIA for any response and my vehicle is a 96 4cyl ex 4door can't wait :D
Well, first you need to look at the point as to what the moldings are there for. Mainly to protect your car from being dinged up by other stuff, mainly careless people with magical flying door in a parking lot. So if you are not worried about that. Now onto the next issue. Filling the square little holes. If you just go and take body filler over the hole and expect that to hold then don't even bother. It will crack and you will have a bunch of holes down the side of your car. The proper way is to cut a bunch of squares to fit the size of holes and go ahead and weld them all in. Then from there hammer and dolly out what shrinking you may have encountered from the welding, and then use body filler for what little minor imperfections you may have left and sand from there. Hopefully this can give you some insight. I can tell you know, I have seen this done, and plan on doing it myself, and it comes out beautifully, if done correctly. Good luck.

well no, obviously you would grind the welds down, but hammer and dolly is to smooth out and major imperfections that will be created by the heat from the welder. A kind of shady body shop would just slap nothing but body filler over that and you end up with a quarter inch or more of just filler that will crack down the line.
