Default My 88 HF B16 Build

I Have A Primer 91 HF With A B16, Just Recently Picked Up A Red 88 HF Shell From A Guy On Honda-Tech For $700. Taking The B16 And Putting It In The New Shell. The Motor Is A 00' B16A2, It Has 98+ Spec ITR Cams, Converted To OBD1 Using A P28 Ecu With A J's Racing Chip, I Have A JDM J1 Cable Transmission With A Stg.2 Exedy Clutch Kit. Open To All Opinions On My Project

Here's My Old Rex With The "Donner Motor" For The New REX

The New Shell

Not Digging The Cut-outs In Rear, Getting Fixed Soon

Sides Clean

Descent Interior

Photo From Recent Owner

Clean Painted Bay

Pulling Out The B16 From Old Rex

So Empty

Dirty B16, Looks Ruff

Then Spent A Day Cleaning, Disassembling, Painting Engine/Parts, Polished
Hasport Mounts, And Valve Cover Grommets, Fuel Rail, Injectors, Strut Bar

Finished Painted Block, Head, Tranny

Painted Intake Manifold

3rd Coat Of Wrinkle Black On The Valve Cover Waiting To Dry

Some What Re-Assembled

Clean

Got It Set In, Bro Putting The Back T-Bracket In

VC Dried "Dont Paint Wrinkle In Cold Weather" The Wrinkles Get Huge
I Put It In The Oven But It Was To Late It Will Be Re Done In Wrinkle Red Soon

Don't Have $ For Header Right Now So I Painted Up The Oem One

Put Strut Bar On

The Bumper Is Missing Because The On That Came With The Car Was All
Cut up Because The Motor That Was In It Was On Boost, So Im Gonna Use
The Bumper Of My Other CRX

Ran All The Wiring, Its Wire Tucked So In This Photo Everything Plugged
In All Thats Missing Is Radiator/Intake

The Intake Piping Was A Beat-up Red And That Would Ruin The Clean Look
So i Sprayed That Black With Some High Heat Paint I Had Left Over

Put Intake On And Integra Dual-Core Radiator In, Going To Get A Half Size Soon

Went To Go Start It And There No Fuel Pump, So We Dropped The Tank
And Put A Oem One In We Had Laying Around In The Garage

Pulled The Bumper Off The Old CRX And Cant Put It On Green. So Picked
Up Some Dupli-color Bumper Coating To Spray It, Its Temp Until I Can Get
It Painted Red, so For Now Its Gonna Be STD Style LoL

Got The Canadian Cluster

That's As Far As I Got So Far, We Got Rained Out Today So I Will Update Each
Day As I Continue This Build, Let Me Know What You all Think So Far, Open To
All Opinions. Damn Florida Rain

X2... When you have to dig out the snow from around your car to work on it, then you can complain about the weather. lol

that might be kinda cool. i think they'd look good if you sprayed them with a flat or low gloss black and then do the red h.

I Used VHT Wrinkle Paint, Put Your Supposed To Apply It In Warm Temp. And It Comes Outs Nice Fine Wrinkle Like OEM But I Made A Mistake And Painted It In Cold Weather So It Wrinkled Over Night Allot!! So When I Woke Up I Tried Saving It By Sticking It In The Oven, So When It Warms Up Im Gonna Re-do It With Wrinkle Red

And It Came With No Seats But I Got Seats For It

i tried that wrinkle red on a vc once and followed directions on the can to a t.. well much to my dismay it didn't work worth a crap and still had huge wrinkles. later found other writeups where people had done this paint and found out i probably should have had it in the oven at a higher temp. oh well i guess. maybe i'll try it again in the future

Yeah, To do It The Right Way You Spray A Coat Vertical, Then 2nd Coat Horizontal, 3rd Diagonal In Warm Temperature Then Immediately Put It In An Oven At 200 Degree's For 20 Minutes And In Result You Get Fine Wrinkles But I Rushed Mine And Got A Half A** Job LoL
