Default 98 Spec JDM ITR Suspension

does anyone know how to identify a true 98 spec jdm itr suspension? I ordered one and just want to make sure I get the correct parts.

Thanks in advance.

TorontoJDM.com

I heard pretty good things about them, but it would be pretty easy to switch parts on something like this.

what do you mean by "suspension"? struts, springs, trailing arms ect. I cant give you casting/part numbers to every part on the car but if you narrow it down.

Why would you buy used shocks?

Lemme guess...you don't have a Type R. You ordered super-sweet JDM ITR suspension for your GS/LS/GSR and then come on here wanting us to confirm what you got/will get.

You know that you could have bought some Konis and OEM ITR springs and had a better setup, right? And you wouldn't have had to worry about swapping control arms out.

What are we averaging now--2 of these posts per day?

hmmm hard to say for jdm but but ive heard jdm are...
Front: gray, blue, purple
Rear: blue, green, purple
and i know for sure 98 spec rear is blue green purple..

but a lot of ppl claim:
FRONT ITR SPRINGS:
In this order: PURPLE, BLUE, GREEN
REAR ITR SPRINGS:
In this order: BLUE, GREEN, GREEN
and i do see a aution for 4x114 96 spec itr rear sold with blue green green markings...
so maybe a difference in years plus rcrew selling a similar set with blue green green for the rears...
what about the usdm springs what color are they?

Thanks eveyone.

And yes I am buying these for my GSR, I currently have Function & Form type 2's with Skunk 2 lcas. But I want to go back to a stock suspension, and I heard really good things about the R suspension. And I just figured that it is a little more sporty and .75 inches lower than my GSR suspension was perfect for what I was looking for.

Again thanks everyone for your comments.

I agree, you should have just bought some Koni Sports and new OEM ITR springs, in that case. I would never buy used shocks..

I went to a stock ITR suspension many many ears ago on my GSR and was very happy with it around town and on track.

Ignore the crabs in here. They can plan their own Expo after this year, I'll most likely retire ...yes, this forum has changed a lot, but no reason to continue burning it down as far as I'm concerned.

Many of us have forgotten where we all started. I was guilty of it once before, but I grew up.

I got my suspension in the other day, the rears look good to me. But the fronts they sent me Part # 51602-st7-z130-m1, any idea what this is? It could be possible that the "8" has been smudged to look like a "6" but can't really tell.

It looks like I got a 98 and a 99, the 98 one does look like it is an 8 that is smudged. But the 99 one it is clear as day that it is a 6.
