Water hose extending for MPFI swap.
I called up SpeedFactory today and they said they wanted like $480 to do the MPFI swap JUST for labor, NOT including the wiring. I figured I'd go ahead and tackle it myself but they said something about some coolant hoses needing to be extended? Which ones, if any, need to be extended? Can i use all the stock hoses off my DPFI mani for the swap?
TIA

480?? Is that with or without vaseline!
That is expensive for 1 hours worth of Wiring work. Unless that includes the swap then water line changing makes sense.

480 for LABOR ONLY?
I'd really like to see how they justify that especially since no parts nor wiring labor is included.
For what they are doing it's literally less than 15 nuts and bolts that you have to wrench on. You are simply changing out the intake manifold.
No coolant lines are extended that I can think of.

Ya they said it would take about 4-5 hours to do it all. And 3 of the hours was changing out the intake manifold....I just do not trust myself to do the wiring. I have everything I need but the TD-02 dizzy plug. But I dont think you "need" it.
Edit: I just called them just to verify the price and they said and I quote "So you want us to put on the intake mani, injectors, fuel rail, distributor, and do all the wiring...about 5-600 dollars" what the flying frucking jesus.....

There is a coolant hose on the intake manifold near the thermostat housing that needs to be changed out. It is "U" shaped on the MPFI manifold and im not sure how different the DPFI hose is but it isnt the same.

And I've been reading the DIY's on it and the wiring seems so easy but me and electrical stuff don't go hand in hand.
ANYONE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WANNA HELP!?!? LOL
Where you at in washington?
hell, i need help with mine. Im in Columbia, S.C. and will provide all the parts, a 6 Pack and $50. I have a 91 std. with a punk *** d15 and i think that going to MPFI now is gonna greatly help me-and it needs to be done anyway because i plan on doing a swap in the next 6 months. So... What up any S.C. Guys Wanna Help a Noob !! Ill make sure i get everything I need before hand !
When I did my mpfi swap I bought a hose stretcher. Nah I just asked to look at all the hoses at the auto parts store. I found a nice long U shaped hose that worked fine. The hose goes from the cylinder head to the thermostat housing.
