CRX Si Engine Harness: WHAT is this plug?!?!
Okay, I have a 91 civic si engine harness. And I'm getting ready to put it onto my car, but I'm missing a plug.
The attached image is an image of an si harness. The plug I circled is missing from my harness. What is that plug? Can I just skip out on plugging it in?

That plug is critical There should be another female going into your cab... Damn I forgot what it was called or where the wires ran too
!!
I hate wiring.
!!I hate wiring.
So it's obviously not normal for this plug to be missing from your harness.
Does anyone know specifically what this plug is for? And is plug supposed to be present on both CRX and Civic engine harnesses?

its just a main harness plug. i don't believe it has any special name. judging by the amount of wires it's safe to say that it's connected to a lot of important components. without it there's no chance in hell your car is going to run, or much of anything for that matter

that image is not his harness. but that circled connector is missing on the harness that we have. and it came off a 91 civic hatchback SI.
i REdid & reloomed my whole harness this weekend (1990 civic dx mpfi'd for DOHC ZC)
that plug is a main plug just like the round connector on the drivers and passangers side...
i know for a fact that theres 8 wires going to that plug
one of them is the oil presure sensor
and the other one was the tranny lockup selonoid...
the rest i dont know but you can guess theyre essential...
try and find another harness...

Re: CRX Si Engine Harness: WHAT is this plug?!?!
the harness in the piture is a 90-91 and the 88-89 dont have that plug pretty sure
leave it to the noobs to try and know everything. that plug is on every 88-91 civic whether its DPFi or MPFi. its needed no matter what. it connects to the main harness for the car as well as the starter solenoid switch. if you have the wires but no plug, then you can just go to the junkyard and plug the wires back into their correct locations.

That is a separate plug for all of the larger guage wires that will not fit into the two round plugs as everyone else said you need this plug and your car will not run without it.
