I have a 96 GS-R and i live in AZ. I do about 1/3 highway driving and 2/3 city driving, or about half and half. The A/C is on 4 with recirculate practically all the time. I only get about 200 miles max, from F to gas light on every time. It never changes. Is this normal? I do not have my own compression tester yet so i dont know if theres a problem with that, but the car has i/h/e and i was wondering could the car be running to rich or to lean??

 

I've got as low as 180/tank (approx 17 or 18 MPG) before w/ the A/C on all the time in 90-100 degree heat and So Cal traffic and a heavy foot

 

You have i/h/e and get 200 with the AC on all the time, thats not bad. I get like 220 with a stock gsr with full-tune up done and ac on about 1/5 of the time. Plus I drive like you, 2/3 city, 1/3 freeway.

I done a full-tune up, only thing I havn't done so far is the valve adjustment.......hope this will help up my gas mileage once I get it done...

 

hmm i got 300 off my last tank but jsut cai and run a/c on 2 all the time.

 

could it run to rich or lean with just i/h/e
