well, its official. the tranny bolts up and works fine. its a great drive too. cruising on the freeway, at ~80mph in 5th gear, its at 4000rpm. havent really topped it our or anything, but at the top of 4th gear, i was at 110mph. if you want to see pics, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=272270 that is the thread in the accord forum.

where on earth did you get that transmission? I thought that all H22a manual transmissions had the 4.266 final drive? Seems like that tranny has a higher FD. Interesting

that's interesting considering my 95 h22a1 tranny in my old 96 accord h22a4 and my 4th gen. 93 vtec lude both cruise on the highway at about 4200-4300rpm in 5th gear at 80mph. the end of 4th was also about 110mph.
are you sure that's an atr tranny?
also, if it is, are you sure it's 4.8fd?

The ATR tranny be shorter than the Prelude ones...it should accelerate really fast and rev high top end....I would not expect it to be at a lower rpms than a USDM tranny....at 4000 I'm at like 75 mph...but the FD is different?

yeah, im not totally positive. but the guy i got it from, i really trust him that he knows his ****. i got it from steve at hondamotorsonline. and it does have the helical slip, so i know its not a "normal" jdm tranny. anyone know the different tranny codes?
you probably just have the regular lsd jdm tranny.
still a great tranny.
just that most 4th gen. preludes and the h22a1 usdm tranny all cruise at about anywhere from 4200-4400rpm in 5th gear going 80mph.
if you had a 4.8 fd, your gears would be ridiculously short.

using a little calculator i found online, with tire diameter 23.88in (205/55/15, what he is running), and a 4.80 FD, you would be at almost 5500rpms in 5th going 80mph. something doesnt add up
The T2T4 Trasmission is from the newer Accord SIR's in Japan. I have done 3 Swaps with these trannies. THe M2B4 Trannies are the older H22a Tranny's with LSD.
i thought the accord sir's had the h23 vtec's which were only available with tiptronics??
There are alot of accord sir's with manual trans. I get them all the time. THe reason why it doesn't add up is because that T2T4 tranny has the regular 4.266 FD. I get my H22a's in Front clips sometime and they are in Accord SIRs. The Wagon has the H23vtec in Auto.
