I have a 00 GSR teg with just over a 100k miles (114k) to be exact. I want a rebuild in the future but not too sure of what i want now. First i wanted simple head internals and a tune of course with IHE. I dont want cazy high comp just a bit more than stock so im still safe with smog regulations. now im thinking of maybe just a 1.9 or 2.0 build

my question is which is better for my situation:

no crazy high comp
smog safe
daily driver reliable
a lil more power than stock( my hp goal was 175-185ish)

 

itr cams. itr style intake manifold and a tune along with a decent i/h/e should get you around 175. May have to swap the ecu and header back to stock for smog.

 

is that what youre running?
