Default B16 running slow after Dizzy change

So the story is my dizzy seized and I have a '90 LS in place of it now (entire assembly). Anyways, I don't know what it is but my car seems to run slower now. Would changing the dizzy affect anything else. Timing was checked to be at 18 degrees (slightly advanced).

My throttle cable seemed to be a bit loose after the operation so i tightened that up a bit. What else can I look for.

My cylinder compressions are also lower then normal. What can I do to fix this?

Yeah the I modified the LS dizzy. I was thinkig about getting a b16a1 one as well but for same price I rather get a brand new one then a used one in who knows what condition.

Well I'll check out the timing

From what I hear you can swap the internals from the LS dizzy onto the B16 dizzy and that way you basically have an entirely new assembly.

Let us know how the timing goes though

Ok, took it to shop. What happened was my timing was retarded for some stupid reason. Oddly the dizzy was moved into an advanced position. So now I'm assuming that with the ls dizzy the timing will become more retarded than with the b16a1 OE dizzy.

Unfortunately even with a timing gun couldn't quite get an accurate reading. The markings were missing. It's been advanced a bit so it's running a bit better. Would like to advance it somemore but don't want to take chance.

Anyone else have problems with their timing after a LS dizzy change?
