EK Uneven drop question
front passenger side is 2cm (0.75in) higher than front driver side? is this normal or its too much? i dont care about the rear though, i think its even. i know coilovers will solve the culprit but i would just like to know if 0.75in difference from driver to passenger side is normal or tolerable or barely noticeable especially if you're a car enthusiast and a lil OC when it comes to ride height.. lol
i used neuspeed greens and even tried tanabe nf210 before, now im using eibach sportline.
thanks h-t

very sure coz i use a measuring stick and ruler to get the exact measurement of both sides and their difference.. exact measurement would be... front passenger side is 2cm (0.75in) higher than front driver side.. car is a left hand drive (orig not converted) bseries engine ek 4dr..
again... i know using aftermarket springs or whatever coilspring makes the ride height uneven... i just wanna now if the unevenNESS
is normal and tolerable coz if not im gonna put a lifter on the left side or cut the springs on the right.. i dont wanna make it 100% even but if .75in or 2cm is too much im gonna find a way to lessen it.
using my finger (i know its not accurate), front driver side is 1 finger gap and 2 1/4 fingers on front passenger side.. that makes it more easier to illustrate.. so i wanna know if its normal?

roughly half an inch? its tolerable and you'll only notice the difference if you take a look closer on both sides. mine is almost an inch.. so i wanna know if its normal and tolerable. the difference is like neuspeed black 1'' drop to neuspeed yellows 2'' drop lol

Yes it's normal. It's just more noticeable on a lowered car because the fenders are so much closer to the tires. On a stock car there's like 4" gap anyway, so you can't really see the difference between 4" and 3.5" or 4.5" or whatever.
this is what im waiting for... very well said... thanks sir! thumbs up
Cutting springs can be done (lets not start this debate though), but there are so many ways to do it wrong it really isn't worth trying for most people.
Do keep in mind that leveling out the car will reduce the handling, because it will place more static weight on the already heavier side of the car. The B series engines sit on the driver's side of the car, making that side heavier.
right! i might install a rubber lifter on the left side . but is there a rubber lifter/spacer available that measures less than an inch? yup my engine is b16a and yes its heavy on the left side and i rarely got a passenger so majority of the weight distribution is on the left.
i was just wondering. before i replace all suspension parts, both sides are like almost the same in measurement. so im guessing that all the bushing from right side are busted. hence, the measurement im having right now is the "Actual" drop of the springs.

eibach's don't typically sit even. My 98ex never sat straight with eibach pro-kits w/koni yellows. However it *did* sit evenly with h&r sports w/koni yellows. I've heard others complain about eibach pro/sportlines as well.
It's likely that your bushings are a little more worn on the left side. If you were to change your lower control arms, or buy an energy suspension bushing kit, you could level it out again. My Civic sits lower on the left side, and it always has. It's just saggy from the weight always being unevenly distributed that way. When I had the car lowered, it caused an issue with rubbing only on the left side. That was annoying and destructive. If you're not rubbing, I wouldn't worry about it.
i might trade it in for a neuspeed race and yes H&R is a very good set of springs too.
