Default weird fuse no. 8 problem..

having a wiring problem, i think, pulled into cici's pizza to grab a bite earlier tonight, had my food, came out, turned on my lights and i had no instrument or taillights, they worked fine before i went in.. put in a new fuse and it poped as soon as i turned the lights on again.. has anyone had a problem like this? if so does anyone have any good ways of diagnosing the problem? thanks!

That's what happens when you go to cici's pizza.... Fuse's pop as a warning to your stomach :-P

But no really... I am kinda wondering the same thing. I bought my ef with the blinkers not working, and all it was, was the fuse. So I am looked around the sockets and didn't see any exposed wire or anything like that.

You have a wire grounding out somewhere. You'll have to trace your wiring to find where it is grounding.

The best place to start is any recent wiring 'improvements' you've made.

Just check all the wires that go to the heater and make sure none are exposed.even anything touches exposed wire it will blow your fuse

If you add something else into the wiring circuit, you're increasing the load on the current wires. So unless you up the gauge of the existing wires, don't put a larger fuse in the standard circuit or you'll fry the wires before you blow the fuse.

check your tail and brake light bulbs, sometimes when they get old the two knubs on the bulbs themselves fuse together and ground out.
