Ive been on the forums for a while now and havent posted much. However below are a couple of cars ive built in the past:













Now to the good stuff, I had more pictures of the car when i was trailering it home and before I started tearing it down but my computer crashed and lost everything. Just a run down of the build I am planning on doing a Domani front end, 5 lug, Seibon Fc seats, fuel cell w/ custom lines, full shaved bay, wheels are TBA and Im pretty set on a color be we will see. Some of the pictures were taken with a phone because I did not have my camera at the time so sorry about the quality. Enjoy any advice would be greatly appreciated.







Pulled off the ricer exhaust:


Body has a decent amount of little dent so i pulled off the fenders and eventually I changed doors too:




Removed the Heater/AC/and blower motor:




Pulling a few of the final things out of the bay, at this point I had a B18c1 w/SSR cam gears, ITR pistons, ITR oil pump, Moroso oil pan, balanced and blue printed that i was planning to put in but plans then changed for the K series :wink::wink:




removed the sun roof:


bought dry ice to remove the sound deadening material::up::up:






started welding up hole and grinded the high spots and sprayed primer to see the low spots:


and now for the donor car


trailed it back to the garage:




the reason why it was so cheap, girl had got T-boned by a Van:


did about 4 burn outs to make sure she was running well before we pulled it but no one took any pictures of the burn outs lol :down:


pulled the suspention and wheels off:

Thanks to Frank "94hatchforsale" he held this for me and my buddy Mitch and
I drove 4hrs to Cleveland to pick it up, Domani front end! yaya :up::dance:
the test fit was pretty well:


sprayed the whole bay and car with guide coat primer






oops! almost forgot about the gas door:




some goodies K-tuned Ps/AC delete kit




more guide coat primer and sanding being done






cleaning the under the sound deadening up a little more






not even 20mins later i open the door to this like WTF, but not as bad as it is now i woke up to 6-8inches of snow!!!!

In for this one, looks great so far. Oh and yes, I truly do hate you for buying that car for $1300. That's insanity!

thanks to everyone for the comments, the goal is to finish her by june of this year, HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to my younger *******(jk) brother "johnny" SliverTC and "mitch" RMXmitch for pushing me an motivating me this far! Should have some parts powder coated tonight pics will be up! stay tuned!

-domani front end: im still finding more info on the Domani i honestly, if anyone else has more info on why the made the Domani I would like to find out also

-Why it was so cheap? Basiclly the deal was the insurance buy back was $1300 and she said if i bought it she just wanted the wheels and coilovers so I did the right thing and gave her parts she wanted and parted the rest of the car out

so i found out the lower ac bracket his a tab that stuck out and had to be shaved to fit the alternater relocation


stuck it in my sand blasting cabinet for a few mins to be prep for powder coating


my drug of choice lol jk :p gloss black powder


pre-heated it for better adhesion (idk if thats even a word haha) rusty bolts were just in there so the powder didnt get into the threads

Nice Ive never seen that frontend before. What car does it come off of?

 

nice lookin ride so far man, i like it. I think the terminals in that area kill the look of the car and should only be used in drag only applications. what color are you going for? Black again? If so do grenada black pearl, it looks so nice. I miss my grenada 4dr
