91 honda civic Headlights keep blowing up
Whats up Honda-tech well i just change out my alternator and brand new yellow top otpima Battery. And i bought some passwordjdm yellow bulbs and it only lasted 2months. I wanna to know if my alternator is pushing to much valtage???? Did this happen to anybody 91 honda civic hatchback dx if so let me know how you guys fix this problem. Thank you very much Honda-tech please help me out.
get a multimeter and check.
did you physically touch the glass of the bulb? the oil on your hands can cause a bulb to burst.
and were these rated really bright? typically the super bright halogen bulbs burn out relatively quickly.

No i did physically touch the glass of the bulb. I check all my wires and its all good!!! : ( dont know what to do already. And right now i going to use a multimeter
check the voltage coming off the alternator like you said. its not likely if other things arent blowing out as well. just put a multimeter to the battery with the car running. should read 13.5- 14.5 volts if working properly even when revving the motor. if you get a spike in voltage theres the problem.

Yes both of my headlights would blow out at the same time. When i'm driving at night my headlights gets bright when im driving and when i'm at a stop sign or stop light my lights gets weak. Its really wired.... And yes the fuses at both 10a
did you ever check the voltage the alternator is putting out? if not maybe the guys at your parts store could help you out and check it.
melting wires, fire. all factory wiring for lighting is just big enough to work, so demanding more current is really pushing the limits of the factory wiring.
oh and check the voltage at the stock headlight harness, its likely that you aren't even getting 12 volts, probably 4-8 volts. with upgraded headlight harness and relay you get all 12-14 volts available.
google "upgraded headlight harness" or "heavy duty headlight harness" to find out more.
