noob question how to wire speaker
i got a 94 civic ex coupe. and my front speaker are blown. i was wondering how do i replace it. so i took the speaker out and their a gray harness. i disconnect it. and the other half of the harness is stuck to the wire. ( do i need that piece) or i can just cut both gray harness and just wire it and duck tape? thank you. and to make sure it is a 6.5? and what the dept side? thank you
To install a speaker without mods you need a "standard" 6.5" speaker, it uses a 5" diameter mounting hole, mounting depth can be no more then 2".
The speaker terminals on the aftermarket speakers will not be the same as the stock speakers, you can either cut off the stock speaker plug and crimp on the ones for the aftermarket speaker or disassemble the plug to get at the metal clips, [de-pin from plastic plug] and use them. 94
