hey Angel, whats up? Not too much happening here. The car gets parked for the winter, so its been in my garage for about 3 months. I'm just itching for warm weather to come so i can put insurance back on it and drive it. I managed to pick up a few new things for my interior also and trying to jazz that up.

are you still working at the same body shop? i am slowly considering painting the inside of the car. if i do, i may go to the guy that installs electronics next to the body shop to get some things done as well.

dude, one of my buddy's yellow type-r was stolen 3 weeks after it came out back in the ol' school days(98) with the dealer purchased LoJack!!! Cops found the car stripped to the bone between midnight to 6am ish..., My buddy got a knock on his door by cops around 6:30am and sh*t in his shorts. Sad thing was that he had 2 M3's and MR2 in his garage while parking his brand spanking new type-r on his driveway... bad mistake, bad mistake... Well, he got his money from insurance and drove to next state and paid extra $4000 to pick-up his another yellow Type-r. My point is, if they want it, they'll get it bro. sucks big ***... I feel just a tat bit safer with my underground parking and cheap *** alarm sys.

****ing ****, not to be racist, endorse bigotry, or be ignorant, but alotta the **** about honda thiefing in chicago stems from logan square/humboldt park area. i get my hair cut out there too >.>, but it just seems that most of the puerto ricans that attend meets and doty, cicero, and all that **** (lucky strats isnt taken over) are the ones that steal your cars. it ****ing sucks and thats why my people dont even go out there anymore. Hows doty been anyways, after the guy got killt we dont even think bout going out there, too much drama and putting our cars/selves in danger. its bullshit. Luckily, from those pictures, it seems that the cars that were stolen weren't built or much was stolen from them, i.e rims fenders all that, but it is unfortunate for the owners of the cars especially since Albany Park being one of the targets is an area in which many people, that money is especially tight on, live there. Can't wait till i finish my setup, thief proof to the max, unless they wanna pull some gangster **** and tow my car out of there, but even that!

They are crazy out there. They are crazy enough to try to steal 30"s off my buddies ride while in his garage. They were either dumb amateurs or did not care about who they were messing with. His pits sleep in his garage and he woke up to his dogs going nuts he saw two dudes running down the street, one dog came back COVERED in blood. Needless to say they did not come back. Crazy ******* on the north side.

 

Imo these thieves are using tow trucks of the sort, they are making money off these cars and they are spending the money on ways to improve their methods so keep them garaged!!

 

I will keep my car garaged all teh time, all you gotta do is make ur car look stock :] LOL, but really that doesnt do anything, people still steal them if their stock

 

Looking at the pictures in the article, most of those cars looked bone stock.

Scary reading they were found in Logan Square though. I've parked my s2000 there a couple times and it is by no means low key.

i know its dumb for me to say, but its well known in the racing scene in chicago, if you own a honda your ****ed by those people. yeah all other races will steal cars. my dads car got stolen by a black man, so that right there isnt puerto rican, but it just so happens that most of the honda stealing ends up somewhere near them. but yeah, that sucks!
