What do you guys think about having a meet with dyno. Would you attend?! And where would be a good place to get a large group?!

I was thinking about maybe getting something together somewhere in the midwest let me know what you guys think of the idea and if we can get a big enough group together, i know a few shops that would be willing to let us host it there!

 

I'm not sure, this group is not one primarily concerned with high HP.

 

I'm not located anywhere close, so my opinion might not even be relevant to the thread lol.

But, a Type-R dyno day sounds like a really fun event, but as stated above, some might not worry too much about their numbers. The one's who have built their cars to increase hp I'm sure have already dyno'd, such as yourself (impressive numbers by the way), and the stock ones are pretty much all the same. I think maybe a meet or cruise would yield more interest.

But I DO like that it's different.

 

I never understood dyno days. I guess I use the dyno as a tool to tune my car, not to see who dropped the most money on a motor and thus who has the largest HP figure. All a dyno day does is see what you're putting down.

If you dyno once and get a good tune, then what's the point of doing it again (assuming no parts have changed)?

If you want to get together with other ITR folks, try the ITR expo. Most of the people who own ITRs are not after raw HP numbers; they are more about how well they can get around an autox/road course and how well they can drive.

 

It would be a good excuse to get some nice beers and good people together. Anybody down for some NatBoh

 

Kingmotorsports has a dyno day every year it actually turns out really nice! I believe they had like 300 cars there last year it was really fun i had a blast! It'd be really nice to get more type rs there, you don't have to dyno your car but like -redneckDave- said it be a good excuse to have some -ITR- people together with some beer!

 

we do that on the east coast, last year everyone put down within about 10whp of each other on primarily stock motors but who cares, cooked out ate some awesome food and had fun, that's what matters in my book. can't wait to do it again this year.

 

Type r dyno day.. def send me an invite.. 4get the volks, get a nice set of racing hart's.. everybody has volks...

Dude my thread would be called itr expo 10, but it isn't. I was wondering if anyone wanted to have a dyno day cuz i was at kingmotorsports last year and it was fun as hell!!! Maybe you an ToDDoo should go hands on beach you guys are very alike!LOL!

Everywhere you go theres going to be ricers, let it go, put that **** aside and have some fun! there were just as many nice cars there as there were ricers. I like to have fun and love the sound of a nice Honda motor. Theres was a allmotor k20/k24 that put down over 300hp. that some serious power for a 4 banger!! And I can respect that, Your advice is fine but like i said, I was wondering if anyone was interested in a dyno+bbq not itr expo!!! I'm young but i'll tell you this much if you knew you'd like me!! Totally understand! My girl like roadtrips i still have 4 weeks of vacation this year and nothing planned so it'd be a fun drive and plus I can spend time with the lady!! She in the process of buying an R to right now!!

 

and i thought i was lucky having a girlfriend with an EM1! well if you're up for it when it gets closer to time (right around june) we'll get the details, i stayed in a hotel last time, some others drove back, but one things for sure my buddies wife made some delicious brownies

If you did make the journey you would more than likely be coming through my neck of the woods, we can get a small caravan going for the last 3 1/2 hours or so.

 

Sounds great man!!! Yeah when i first met her she had a fully but beetle lol, it was actually pretty quick. But i took her for a ride in the R for the first time and she just completely fell in love. "When you go vtec you cant go back!"She actually has a s2k too right now It's the hottest thing in the world when i see her smoke annother guy, thinking she doesn't know how to drive!! But back to the topic just let me know when it gets closer cuz i'm defientely down to come through!!
