Default My SUPER low budget ef hatch build

So my girlfriends asleep cause she sick, and its only 7 pm so i decided to try my luck on here by posting up some of the progress on my ef. I traded my 91 foxbody (which was my very first car) for this ef. At first i really thought i ****ed up by getting rid of a perfectly nice/running car for this hunk of ****. but... it was time to part ways with my beloved stang. Anyways, this is my fist post and hope everyone likes it.... btw im working on a "just-got-laid-off/tryin-to-pass-time" budget, so please understand my circumstances. I wish i had the money to drop somethin better under the hood, but all of that money went to my ek.... Anyways here we go....

the quarter was smashed in and the dude who owned it before me fixed it but it still needed a lil TLC...

the interior was trash, does anyone even know if these are stock honda seats?

i got tired of the primered/stock shitty paint, heres a pic of the front end with some paint that i splashed on it, came out shitty so i sanded it and called up a few ppl that i knew to see if they would spray it. Im doing a sprayed-on version of the "50$ paint job". Im using Krylon High Gloss White, it took about 2 quarts to spray the whole car and the painter that sprayed it was impressed on how well it laid out on the car. BTW the guy that sprayed my car also painted a few trucks and bikes that have been featured im multiple magazines such as "truckin"... not to brag but im just letting everyone know that the "50$ paint job" even impresses pros and is like a tenth of the cost of a "did-right" paint job.

my fat *** workin on gettin it prepped in this damn texas summer weather...

i rode with the car like this for like a month, kinda stopped workin on it cause i was having issues with my ek

I was searchin around autozone and stumbled upon the red pinstripe tape so i went ahead and put in on the moldings. I also scored an antenna delete plate and the red center taillight piece from a local junkyard! whoo Hoooo!!!

o yea, i forgot i was runnin open header when i got it, i also found a mufler-shop exhaust at the junkyard. i sparyed it black and slapped an old sticker on it for ***** and giggles...

i forgot to add that the red honda badges on my car is actually the sample piece of vinyl that comes with the pinstripe tape, i just cut it to fit behind the "H"

not too shabby eh?

i traded a minifridge for the HIDs and found some fogs at vatozone that fit perfectly between the lil grill pieces without any cutting.... i just sparyed em with some yellow stained class paint i found at hobby lobby...

thats actually Austin Texas in the background. i took the pic after class one night and then quickly got kicked off the campus by the damn rent-a-cops because i forgot my parking permit and school ID in my ek....

i paid the guy 150$ to paint everything, the paint was 8$ a quart, the hardener was 8$ from tractor supply(which i highly recomend getting if your gonna go a paint job like this) , i just used red scotch brite pads to scuff the original which was around 3$ a package and i used 2 packages, and with sand paper/tape/paper mabye another 30$.... so im guessin around 210$ for a grand total.... the suspension was ebay coilovers on stock blown struts... now i have tokico blues with ground control coilovers, it rides like a ****in cadillac now thank god... once the weather clears ill post up pics of my headliner/sidemarkers/and ef9 style stickers....i also did a budget front lip also, not the home depo lip tho.... but thanks everyone for the props!
