Default Rebuilt tranny break in period?

Just got my tranny rebuilt, is there some sort of break in procedure I should follow?

All I was told was to take it "easy" for the first hundred miles..

What did you do? We did ats (and the required 1st) and i just took it easy for 1 mile

Craig - Who lite the tires taking off after dropping it off the jack stands


Edit: lite, light one of thouse, pick the one that suits you

Yeah, just take it easy for the first 100 or so miles, a few hundred would probably be best, enjoy

If you just do gears, don't worry about it, they are hardend steal, there is no way you can break them in. Hell you could throw dirt in your tranny and it would not hurt thouse gears. Now if you did a clutch style lsd or possible replaced the syncros, then there might be some break in.

My tranny got the full meal deal, synchros, gears, etc.

I want this tranny to last so I'll put some nice km's on it and try to rack it up before the next autocross (in a week).

After Toda clutch/flywheel, ATS final drive, and all new synchro's, I just ripped right through the gears after a few miles. Couldn't wait to feel the difference
