Srs light - bad seat sensor?
My wife's 02 ex ww/ 83k had the srs light come on this week. This is a car w/out side air bags. A coworker of mine scanned it for us. It came back with a error w/ the drivers side seat sensor. The shoddy haynes manual does not have a wiring diagram of this circuit.
How should i go about diagnosing this? Does any one have the ohm spec that the sensor should have?
Also how can i tell which airbag controller we have?
thanks
Mark

Very common froblem on these civics. The seat belt switch often fails and sets a code. The fix is to replace the seat belt buckle attaches to the seat. A word of caution for you though, if you don't know what you are hooking your ohm meter up to when servicing the SRS be prepared to deploy air bags and seat belt buckle charges. You could be seriously injured.

Also where is the airbag controller?
Well, let's go back a little. Which DTC (code) are you getting?

Ive said this a few times before, ill say it again...
When i brought my 01 in for the airbag recall, the tech noticed my srs light was on, and took care of it, free of charge. It might be worth taking it by a dealership and see what they say.

this should help you out if you didn't fix it yet, just bookmark it so next time you can set it up https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2128335
When you check resistance of anything with an ohm meter it sends out low voltage and current through one lead then measures the amount coming back at the second lead. It takes the information and calculates that circuits resistance. It might be just me but i would'nt risk putting current through an inflator module especially when they can be deployed with only a little static electricity.
