I found a deal on some cheap coilover sleeves and shocks on craigslist. they are from a crx, but i want to put them on my 90 civic hatch.
will they work?

What year CRX?88 won't work.

 

you beat me to it! i was going to say it is off an 88 ant the lca are stock they will not work. (on an 88 the rear lca are like type R the rear strut goes through the lca, not around it like the 89 and up) i do believe.....

 

what? i want pics ive never heared this before... all suspension set ups list from 88-91 civic/crx... i have both a civic and a crx and there the same but i have a 91 crx

i believe you, id just like to see it i had a 88 rex but cant remember there being a diffrence

 

the rear lower control arms on an 89 are different than the ones on the 90+... the lower control arms actually bolts around the lower mounting point on the shock/strut or in other terms it sits inside the lca....

 

they are interchangeable so no worries if they are different... unless ur looking for the 88/89 lcas... kinda hard to find, especially if ur looking for ones that have the threaded holes for a rear strut bar..

 

1988 was the only year to have the different LCA in usdm model civic's and crx's

In Japan, they all had the 88 style arm similar to the ITR here in North America
