d16z6 cylinder3 really weird
i have a 95 civic with a d16z6 motor when i got the car it wasnt timed right so i timed it to the specs needed after that i test drove it and it was still lagging then picking up speed kind of sounded really throaty like it was cammed. we checked the wires and its getting spark and its getting fuel cylinder three we seen didnt seem to fire correctly but seemed to have compression when we started it without a plug in. the codes my car was throwing was the v tech solenoid,map sensor,o2 sensor, and TP sensor. also in cylinder three the piston seemed to have dings like it detonated. we also started the car with the spark plug wire out of cylinder three and seemed to run the same with it in as it did with it out. anyone have any ideas????

my 95 civic coupe witha d16z6 is runnig shitty and is reading codes for sensors like o2 sensor and map sensor and all that **** but we took out cylinder 3 plug and it looked like it had compression and the wires had spark and was getting fuel and the piston looked dinged up like it detonated but wen we take the wire off and start it it runs the same as if it was in we just timed it and all and lags in the begging and picks up but def not even close to full power sounds like the car is cammed out idk wat to do now need help about to just junk the motor and swap for another
First advice is to edit and punctuate your post. More people will try and help you. Not trying to be an ***, just trying to help

Sounds like your engine has a constant misfire on cylinder 3. I would do at least a compression test before junking the motor...
