Default dpfi to mpfi, ecu?

Hey, i have an 89 ef hatch, and i want to convert from dpfi to mpfi, and im gonna buy everything for the swap on craigslist, but this guy has an ecu that isnt the PM6 ecu, but he said it would still work for the swap, but i havent found anything that says that? help would be appreciated

if you are switching to a mpfi setup...you need to run any 89-91 civic/crx SI ecu (PM6)

I know of a couple available but just noticed you are in seattle..im up in vancouver...

maybe its a pg7, its for dual cam but ppl still run em, i have one im not running, i use the pm6

Even a ps9 will work if it's chipped. It doesn't HAVE to be a pm6

hey i have a 91 crx dx that i did a mpfi swap on and ive went over the wiring probaly 20 times and everything is wired corctly and the car will only rev to 3000 rpms no more and i tryed my ecu in a buddys car and it worked fine and i try his ecu in my car and it still just went to 3000 so if anyone can help it wuld be great

There are several ecu's that will work but the pm6 would work best, I would stick with that. civic88sedan, have you tried a known working dizzy?

no i have not but i am running a pm6 and i got the dizzy out of a running car before my buddy sold his hatch i took his mpfi swap out

Anyone have any clue to why its only running 3K Rpm? thoughts or suggestions would be excellent..

yea my buddy and i did a dpfi to mpfi swap and wen we were all done the car only revs to 3k and no more andi tryed the ecu in a buddys car and it work perfect and we cheack are wiring like 20 times

somethins wrong somewhere...its in limpmode, check the dizzy wires, theres two identical wires..there both white...could be switched around..

had the same problem check your tps did you switch the outer two wires around
