Awesome. 2 Acura entries in P2, I can't wait for this. What happend to the Maserati's, weren't they granted an entry? I remember something in the news about them, something about being a prototype with a GT body... ? Can't remember.

 

Lucus Luher (sp?) and and Mike Rockenfeller are my favorite drivers after watching that Adui "Truth in 24" movie that came out last year. Love this race. My professor this past semester went to LeMans in 1964 for the first time and wrote a huge article about it. I think im going to have to make it there in the next few years.

 

I will definately be rooting for Team Highcroft, too bad they can't run their patron sponsorship on the car in this race due to French sponsorhip regulations. Also looking foward to Fernandez racing with the Aston Martin/Lola P1 cars. Glad to see many AMLS cars in this years Le Mans

Are you talking about the MC12's? It's entered in the FIA GT1 Championship (new name for FIA GT I guess), so automatic entry for LeMans. I dunno why they're not running it. Another car that was apparently supposed to enter was the Gigawave Nissan (team principal Nigel Stepney ) from FIA GT1, but they didn't either. Dunno the details. All the FIA GT1 are allowed to run, with some sort of downgrade package.

 

Yeah the MC12s. I thought you had to win the FIA GT series to be granted an entry, thanks for the heads up. I guess it has something to do with the rumor going around that they [MC12s] were thought to be Prototypes with a GT body. I think because of the accusation they boycotted the entry? I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, they seemed to dominate their class with little effort and almost had the ability to "turn up" their performance whenever they were behind.

 

No idea about Maserati. Buemi's cousin is driving the Matech Ford GT, also from FIA GT1.

 

Weird to see the anything other than the 1, 2, 3 designation on the Audis...

Those aren't the Rahal/Letterman-prepped cars are they? Not commenting, just a casual question.

 

Did a quick google search and didn't find anything on any other BMWs besides the R/L ones.

I'd guess that Hand/Auberlen will join Muller/Priaulx, as those two are BMWNA drivers, and the later are BMW Europe drivers, i think...

 

Found pics at Nurburgring for a race, looks like Priaulx and Farfus in one car at least.

 

anyone know...are these the "customer" cars of gm?? i remember reading an article in racetech maybe saying how they were going to use some of the 1 cars towards customer cars...or maybe im just talking out of my *** of a bad memory. whens valentines day again..i dont want to be in the dog house? lol.
