Default Brake booster check valve direction?

Hi all,

Can someone tell me which way round the brake booster check valve should be? I seem to get a hunting idle everytime I press the brakes, this is for a H22 EG civic.

Thanks in advance

Your brake booster diaphragm may be ruptured.

Is there a chance it could be the seal? I did upgrade the brake booster a while ago so possibly I didnt tighten the nuts to spec. I'll check to se if they've come loose and i'll check for cracks in the hose.

Can someone tell me which way the arrow should point on the check valve? i.e. towards the brake booster or away from it? Thanks

Yes away from the booster, and you can check it to make sure it is sealing by blowing thru it. One way you will be able to and one way you won't. It should not leak at all.

If dirty or leaks just blow some water thru it to clean it out.
