Default Need camber help

ok ive read the thread on how camber doesnt effect the tire wear. but i want to get rid of my negative camber i have and somehow the positive camber on the rear driverside tire. now im ordering koni yellow and g/c coilover set when my taxes come in (8 more days woohoo!) and i want to get something to adjust my front and rear camber without doing too much damage to my bank ive read up on the washer trick but im not too much of a big fan of that, too each their own i guess so im wondering what camber kits should i go for? i have a 90 civic dx hatch and right now on cut springs (thanks to the last owner trying to save a nickle now my car is slanted atleast a inch and half more on the passenger side to the driver side). o yea last question is when i order my koni and g/c coilovers will it be necassery to order tophats along with them ive heard that the ones that come with car as long as they are in good condition will work fine. thanks alot before hand.

If you want to add positive camber to the rear of the vehicle there is absolutely no point in spending money on a camber kit when washers will work just as well. Do yourself a favor and do the washer trick. What is your reasoning for adding positive camber?

Positive camber on rear driver side? Lower than stock? If so then something is bent and/or damaged. Washers would only make it worse since it would push the top of the tire out even more.

You need to get the damaged parts fixed before you even think about adjusting camber. Don't try to use a camber kit as a "band-aid" fix to get rid of the positive camber on that corner. Not only is it unsafe (not fixing the damaged parts) but it could pretty seriously throw off the alignment as adjusting camber in that way will probably throw off the rear track dimension - each hub will be a different distance from the car's centerline.

i wanna get rid of my negative camber i have and get rid of the positive camber i have on one side.

also PatrickGSR94 or anyone else familiar more with this, what items in that area would have a greater chance of being damaged so i can take a look and ill have the car in the shop tomorrow to see what they find.

positive camber would indicate: bent lower control arm. bent trailing arm. bent subframe.

yeah look for creases or bends in the suspension links The lowers are most likely the culprit but it could be other parts as well. Just check everything over well and let us know how it looks.

bushings would not cause positive camber.

if you cant see whats wrong, take it some where that knows what to look for. there is something definitely wrong if you have positive camber.

your control arm doesnt look right. but i really cant tell. it would help if you took it off and compared both.

take your car to someone who knows what to look for.

top hats are a good idea if you want to lower your car.
