B18 Swap Problem
Well I told myself i would do this swap without ever having to ask any newb questions.. but here i am. Hope somebody can help.
I have a 91 civic DX, just swapped in a b18a1 from a 92 teg, but im running it with a 90 teg obd0 ecu and a obd0 distributor.
swap went well, car starts and runs well. idles fine, though timing is a little weird. if i advance it all the way the most i can get is about 13, and idle goes up to about 1300. so right now its sitting around 10. idles okay.
at speeds over 3000 car runs great, lotsa power and not missing at all.
But if i hold the throttle around 2000 the engine surges badly. hardly notice it except for driving slowly (parking lots , etc) i cant seem to find anything wrong. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas?
I dont have the IACV hooked up right now, so the computer is throwing a code 14. but even with it plugged in the computer still throws the code.
not really sure if that could cause this problem though?
Today i scoped the o2 sensor.. it is reading voltage but not switching like it should.
thats all i have. hope somebody has heard of this problem!
Thanks.

^^^go with his answer thats more then likly your problem...also try to get a good basemap for the Ls swap....and replace to a full obd-1 setup...will be much happier with being able to chip and tune it all
