Default Anyone willing to trade their pyITR or cwITR?!

Well i have itr 00-201 fbp, and heres my story. Before i bought my type r i have been looking at buying one for about 2 years before i can actually find one within driving range to go pick up. well after two years i found one in illinois but it was black and i was actually not looking for a black one, i said to myself i'll get any color but black, but i wanted a type r so bad i just went ahead and bought it.

So if anyone is interested i have 120,000miles i bought it with 88,000miles, I'm willing to trade everything exept i want to keep my motor so if youre interested we'll have to do a swap. I just finished up with an ultra allmotor 2.0l rebuild and kingmotorsports. my car has no rust and has been garage kept. I have one rock dent on the driver side door from a rock. it's the sive of a dime, other than that the car is in great shape!! So if any is interested let me know.
I would prefer a cw itr, but yellow will also work.

also i still owe 6000on my loan how will this work and if and if this is even possible to do with a lein on my car, any comments would definetely help!!

heres some pics, i have my regular itr rims on it now, my friend had a five lug conversion done on his eg so we traded rims for a week so i had the slips on. Let me know if you want to see more pics and i'll dig em up.

It looks like your stuck with this. The loan and the idea about swapping the motor's doesn't help. A lot of buyers want the original B18C5 in there R, also just for resale value. It looks like you have a nice car, I'd just try to make the best of it regardless of what color it is. I have PY and sometimes I wish I had black. :l

lol. "Yeah, I'll trade you straight up, but I gotta keep my motor. Oh, and I still owe $6K on the title.".

Dude, good luck. You're in over your head and now you're stuck. Either sell the car as-is, or enjoy it as-is. You're at a point where there is no turning back until you get it paid off. But even then, you'll take a serious bath on the car if you try to sell it--especially if you insist on keeping your engine.

And what's with the folks who obsess about colors? Any of the 3 are fine choices. It's not like Acura made a pink one or something.

Yup you're under water. With the engine swap your car is only worth about $6k-7k because it's not original. So if a buyer did come a long and buy you out with the bank, you would have no car and no money to get another one.

You're not gonna be able to do it with the lein still on the car. Unless you got a presonal loan and bought out your car loan, then a trade could, in theory, happen.

I would just paint it if you want a yellow one so bad.

Worst advice ever. Never paint an ITR anything but it's stock OEM color.

Why is that?

Just cause it wouldn't be the original color it came doesn't mean it's not a Type R anymore.

I understand repainting a custom color, but definitely not a stock color.

don't repaint it to anything but it's original color. He just needs to save up, sell this one and pick up one of the colors he actually likes, it's not as if there is a shortage of PY out there right now.

I'd just keep it, pay it off, then decide whether to trade or not. I wouldn't paint it. I'd keep it because it is an 0201!

Exactly.

And, I find it extremely funny that the OP would sink that much money into his motor when he never seemed to like the car in the first place--especially on a car that isn't even close to being paid off.

If you were able to get a bank to finance the car you have, I don't see any reason why the lien couldn't be transferred to a car of equal or higher value. I doubt you will find any takers that are willing to swap motors and go through all of the hassle, though.

As for the suggestion to paint your car, aside from the general purist mindset, it's simply not cost effective. To do a color change properly will cost you anywhere from 3k-6k.

what about custom colors? so they're all so stupid for painting their car in some non-OEM color now their R is NOT r anymore

tell me why you shouldn't paint an ITR.. if color is bothering this guy so much i'd just pay 1000 bux or something to get it painted. soooooooooooooooooo much easier than switching ownership/motor swap/loan headache .

i have CW and i know i will never paint it to any other because that's ITR color CW FTMFW
but this guy hate this black one. so get it painted to something else and he will be happy.
how much u think it will cost if you brought to a shop to get this motor swap done?
i'd say almost same money as painting the car or more.

For one changing from the oem color will make it less valuable if he ever wanted to sell it. Good example of dumb people owing an itr. If he was smart he would have paid off the car instead of building that motor( Im sure it cost a helluva lot).
