built for boost, but no turbo???

Default built for boost, but no turbo???

so my buddy just called me up all excited cause hes gonna buy a B16 built for boost, low comp pistons...the whole nine yards, but its no longer boosted and he wants to run it in his EG coupe NOT ON BOOST, good idea or bad? any input for this dude would be nice...thanks

BOOST IT! or leave it. unless its dirt cheap, then somethins blown, so buy it and rebuilt it. its really not worth it to rebuild with N/A internals, but whatever he wants to do.

Any idea how many miles on the rebuild?
Sounds like it might be worth buying. If it's got decent parts in it and if it is in good condition then turning around to sell to buy a good swap. If it's really a full build, you might be able to get enough cash together to get a GSR swap or something along those lines!

A motor setup for F/I forced to be sucking it's own air will not be happy.

There are many factors to this but yes compression is one of the first that comes to mind.

NOS that biznatch up. It already has low compression so im thinking it would take some good amount with tuning. Low compression is good for NOS right?

haha yea idk...i guess we'll see if he actually gets it and what not, but 500 dont sound bad tho, ive seen just b16 heads for that much..

^^^ kinda what i wanted to do for now on my hybridD15Z6 build (Z6 head & intake mani with Z1 Cam & rockers on Z1 block 7:8.1 comp?) 7lbs OEM flywhee (edit::: OR 17 lbs? Someone chime in plz...)l and Z6 trans FTW! anyhow i would have no clue as to where in san antonio is a good tuner for me current setup. Bisi HELP!!!

But yea i'd buy it then resell for little profit. (no blackballing ppl!)
