ok i got a 90 integra newly rebuilt motor -all stock. I took a friend to the store one night, dropped him off, was leaving the driveway and then the car just died! it sounded like it backfired and just died. it wont start it just makes back fire pops.
Im so fustrated i dont know where to start, can someone please help me out!!

 

check the distributer.

 

This is the Civic forum. But to answer your question, I think its the distributer also.

 

i agree on the distributer but once it gets fixed check the timming that it might have kicked over a couple notches on the gear. It happened to my friends 93 integra gs.

 

if the dist. dosent help with anything
do a compression test.
