Default whats the differences between the new ITR jackson racing supercharger to the others.

i just went to mossperformance.com and saw that they got a new jacking racing supercharger kit for the b18c5 integra type r( i dont really know if its new but the last time i check, there wasent a new kit)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats kool,

but whats the difference between that kit and the other kits( b16a/b18b/b18c)??? has anyone tired this kit out??

will the new b18c5 itr jackson racing supercharger kit work for the b16b, before you go off and tell me " the b16b isnt a really good engine to boost" i know it isnt, but im planing to boost it at a minimum for a little more fun about 6-8 pounds of boost.

but i need to know if it matters which kit would work or not.

heres the link TO THE NEW JACKSON RACING SUPERCHARGER

I believe that kit has been around for a while, or at least as long as the other kits. It's probably the same as the b16a kit, but little things may be different like the double alternator pulley. I don't think they make the b18b kit anymore. That was the only b-series one that used the smaller M45 supercharger. The rest use the M62 (gsr/type-r/si).

The blowers are different. The non-vtec and the D-series all use the same smaller M45 Eaton blower. The ITR, GSR and B16a all use the M62 Eaton blower. The ITR pulley is larger (less boost) than the GSR/B16 blower pulley. There are a few fitment differences obviously too. I think you should get the B16a kit for your civic though, but the ITR one might work too.

They are a ton of fun for a daily car, but not very efficient. You can make more power with a turbo setup, but these things are so simple and proven. Fun to drive on a vtec b-series. Different strokes for different folks.

Lots of good info....start reading.

And the B16 kit...

Want power look into Rotrex supercharger, Oscar Jackson owns Kraftswerks they make rotrex supercharger kits for Ks, I don't see how hard it would be to do on a B same **** just different mounting. I'm sure you could call them and they'd tell you what would be needed to mount it on a B if possible which it should be. Alot of them are making 400-450whp on stock K20s and a bunch more making 550-600whp

holy crap! please ignore all this mis information posted above!! (aside from Blown90hatcH)... your question is slightly confusing...im assuming from the manner in which your wording it, your asking whats the difference between the "newer" version of the ITR JRSC as supposed to the "older" version of the ITR JRSC, with that said, i really dont see where they post this kit as being "NEWER". the only improvements or changes made to the kit (that i know of at least) since its first release would be the addition of a bracing bracket that provides more support to the SC as the manifolds were known to crack from the weight of the eaton m62, other then that, what Blown90hatcH posted is all the info you need in a nut shell. the gsr kit has a different manifold then the b16/b18c5 kits but essentially, all the vtec kits are pretty much identical. if done right, a JRSC equipped vehicle can be an awesome, reliable, daily driver that delivers great linear power on demand although not know for delivering high HP #'s as the m62 is very limited considering its size and location on these kits. nothing a little n20 couldnt fix.... ;-D good luck!
