We hooked my car up to a computer and it says the SHIFT MODULATOR is the cause of my check engine light being on, and i guess its the reason why my car has delayed shifting... I need to know is the SHIFT SOLENOID the part i need to replace to fix the problem. In other words is the SHIFT SOLENOID the same thing as a SHIFT MODULATOR????

 

yea if im right the shift modulators are the shift solenoid..

But.... I had a friend with the same Check engine code and it was her tranny that was damaged.. ended up having to replace the whole transmission..


But Doesnt hurt to get some used solenoids from the junkyard and swap yours out..

 

ok ill keep that in mind
